- CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum forgings
- Mil-Spec Type Type 3 Class 2 anodizing - clear (Clear anodizing varies in shade and texture)
- Fits all standard Mil-Spec dimension components
- Custom engraving available
- These are thermal fit receivers. You will need to heat the receiver in order to install your barrel
- Heat the receiver in an oven set at 250*. Install the barrel and let it cool to room temperature before you install the barrel nut
- GENTLY heat the front of the receiver with a propane torch. Do not overheat the receiver. You need only to heat it slightly to install the barrel. Install the barrel quickly and let cool to room temperature before you install the barrel nut.
- Bad Attitude Department is not responsible and will not replace uppers damaged due to improper heating or installation. If you run in to a problem, let us know and we can help you out.
If added, T-Marks will be laser engraved
For custom logos, please check our our BCG page for examples or email us first with your logo idea. Logos will only be placed on the top rear of the receiver, just above the charging handle. Deep engraving destroys all anodizing and usually requires a coating or color fill to protect the exposed aluminum.
A note about clear hard coat anodizing - it is not an even color as it is effected by the aluminum beneath the anodizing as well as the way the light reflects off the finish. Upper and lower receivers may not match at all in color. Unlike anodizing with black dye, it also does not cover minor imperfections that would normally not be seen. Shade will vary on each receiver. It is every bit as protective as hard coat anodizing with black dye.

Skip the T Marks
Nice light color, matched FCD parts well. Had a few little pits on the left side, not a big deal. Not a fan of the T Mark Font and small size, knocking off a star for that.

Perfect match for the low-key lower.
The color matched the low-key lower perfectly and they lock up very tight. I understand that the clear anodized doesn’t hide imperfections as well as black anodized but I feel like the one I got should have been a blem due to a long imperfection along the side. I think BAD has become my default for uppers and lowers because the overall quality is great.

Best clear anodized you can get
Ordered this with the Q T Cat lower, and this is by far one of the best receiver sets I have ever purchased. The clear anodizing is damn near perfect too, even better than my Sugar Weasel. Thank you Bad Attitude!!

Gorgeous
I love it. I haven't been able to finish building it yet, but the finish is fantastic. It's not ever a guarantee, but my upper matched the lower I bought at the same time pretty dang near perfectly. They look fantastic together. Not quire FDE, not quite gray, entirely perfect

Custom logo'd receiver set
Sure you can go buy some rando receiver but wouldn't you rather A) have it in clear anno and B) have your own logo engraved into it so you don't look like every other chump? Awesome quality, communication and customer service. Just do it, make it yours, make it cool!

Great quality for a great price
Just got my upper in today and the clear anodized finish is bad ass! It’s going to go well with my “50 shades of fde” build. No scratches, no dings, no nothing. Just really good quality. Shipping was fast. 3 days to my house. I will be back

Stripped upper clear anodized
Bought this upper receiver for a new build. I like the almost fde look of the clear anodized aluminum. Clear anodizing and the different colors it makes the metal is cool. The machining is clean and the fit was good for the lower I'm using.
